An environmental advocate, mother, and former actor, Suzy Amis Cameron is Executive Director and a Founder of Plant Power Task Force, focused on showing the impact of animal agriculture on climate change and the environment, founded with her husband James Cameron and Craig McCaw.
In Fall 2018, Amis Cameron will publish, OMD: Swap One Meal a Day to Get Healthy, Live Longer, and Save the Planet, with Simon & Schuster’s Atria Publishing Group. She will also launch the OMD campaign to promote plant-based food solutions to climate change—a multi-pronged effort to transform eating habits and the food system.
Previously, in 2006, Amis Cameron founded MUSE School CA to prepare young people to live consciously with themselves, one another and the planet. MUSE is the first school in the country that is 100% solar powered, zero waste, and with a 100% organic, plant-based lunch program, leading to the designation as the “Greenest Restaurant in the World.” She is also a founder of Cameron Family Farms and Food Forest Organics, a plant-based café and market in New Zealand, and Red Carpet Green Dress, showcasing socially and environmentally responsible fashions at the Academy Awards. Suzy has produced documentaries and serves on several nonprofit boards. As an actor she was featured in more than 25 films, including The Usual Suspects and Titanic.
